About Sada-E-Aman

Sada-E-Aman is a bi-weekly E-Journal published by the Kashmir-HR.net, a project of the Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC). Sada-E-Aman intends to bring articles relating to the human rights problems faced by the people of Kashmir. Views expressed in the articles published in this e-journal are of the individual authors only.

In the words of Percy Shelly "Man has no right to kill his brother. It is no excuse that he does so in a uniform; he only adds the infamy of servitude to the crime of murder." When we look upon the Himalayan State (Jammu Kashmir) of the Asian region, there has been killings of thousands of innocent people along both sides of the Line of Control (LOC). Sada-E-Aman’s main concern for Kashmir is the people who have been suffering a lot since more than five decades. AHRC believes that people of Jammu Kashmir along both sides of the Line of Control deserve a just peace with which they can carry on their lives peacefully. The peaceful atmosphere for the Kashmiri people on both the divided and occupied parts is directly related to their right to self-determination

Our concern is also the children of Kashmir; who have been forced to breath in the trauma of war. We believe that the children of Kashmir have the right to peace. We do also have a special concern for women of Kashmir who have faced the worst aspects of life when society. Children and women are also long term victims of enforced and involuntary disappearances. AHRC believe in the tremendous capacity of honest sharing of views. We hope people will use the space in this e-journal to discuss what they internally feel about the situation and the future. This space is for those who can think also with their hearts. Tears of Kashmiri people have been flooding. Will the international community respond these floods? It must! May things take a more humane turn! May the people of Kashmir smile again!
